What the Fedge?
I don't know why but, for some reason, if I go to my blog as just a casual reader instead of signing in, I can't see the pictures that I have posted. Which, probably means that no one else can. So, while I try to figure out why that is happening, please be patient! I am still fairly new to this. I can see the pictures when I am in my blog making new posts which is why I didn't know that they aren't showing up for all of you until last night when I just clicked on the link on the hubby's computer and saw that none of the pics loaded. Sorry! Newbies! Sheesh!

Not Enough Good...
So, I am having one of those days where, I want to live by the rule, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Not that I am having a bad day. I'm not. My hair is cute. I have on a cute outfit and, I feel pretty good. No one has pissed me off. I don't think that I have pissed anyone else off. I got my future sister-in-law her B-day present. I even got a little jump on my Christmas shopping because I found a little something for my Mom.
But, in keeping with what seems like a theme, I have more Britney news. I just don't really want my blog to seem like it is a Britney blog. It isn't! It is really more of an everything or a whatever blog. Whatever I am thinking about. Things I like and don't like. Things that I am excited about. Whatever!
So, I am really going to try to call today a Britney Free Day on my blog.
But, because the stuff I read about her today was so juicy, I will not likely be able to remain Britney Free tomorrow! Sorry! When you are perhaps the biggest train wreck in the history of all Celebutards, you get a lot of grief! And, I just can't help myself!

What's That on Your Fingers?
In the October 15th issue of People magazine, I started reading the article on Britney Spears. There is a large picture of her with Jayden James from September 30th. I couldn't help but notice the disgusting yellowish-brown tint her fingers (closer to the webs) took. She has a tendency to look dirty to me. And, not "Oops, I Did it Again" dirty. Just filthy, need a long bath with about 3 gallons of soap dirty. But, this takes the cake. I know that cigarettes can stain your fingers and nails and, I imagine that the filthy yellowish-brown color near the webs of her fingers is from her more legal substance abuse problem of smoking cigarettes.
My question is, how many cigarettes, packs of cigarettes or cartons of cigarettes does one have to go through on a daily basis to have fingers that look that stained? Can't regular washing of the hands help that, even a little bit? If she were to, say, wash her hands after each time she uses the potty, wouldn't that pretty much take care of it?
Can we add "Failure to wash her hands after using the bathroom" to her laundry or grocery list of things that she should improve upon before she can get her kids back?

Stubborn? Make the Kids Pay...
This is exactly how a parent should act! Well, since this is Topsy Tervy Tuesday, this does make sense.
So, welcome back to the The Brit Twit's world. I know this is sort of late but, I didn't read about it until today and, I am guessing, I am not the only one.
The Brit Twit's kids were supposed to get some quality Mommy time last Thursday. She was aware of this but, because she obviously knows all and is already such a stand-up, heck of a role model for a mother, she didn't want her required parenting coach to tell her what to do or how to interact with her kids. So, when Kevin Federline's bodyguard stopped by to drop off the kids, with the coach in tow, she ignored the buzzer until the bodyguard left, 40 minutes later, with the kids.
It is in my most humblest of opinions that, she should never get her kids back based on that action alone. Never mind the fact that she is a habitual substance abuser. Forget the few mistakes that she has made while her kids were in her care. You know, driving with Sean Preston on her lap, shoving bottles of soda into both kids' mouths to shut them up when they got fussy and, if memory serves, asking Sean Preston to "go get Mommy's suckers" which is her cutesy, ok way of saying "go get Mommy's cigarettes". There are really too many things that she has done wrong for me to list. Those are just a few that really stuck in my craw.
But, she is probably right. She probably doesn't need adult supervision in the form of a parenting coach. I am sure she really is perfectly capable of taking care of her kids, for a couple of hours, now and then, without someone telling her that soda in a bottle is neither the best thing for such young kids as far as nutrition, nor for their developing teeth. And, when you really stop and think about it, calling cigarettes "suckers" is kind of cute. And, I am sure it is just adorable when Sean Preston toddles up to her with them in her hands. A-Freaking-Dorable!
So, she is probably right as rain. She is a great parent. Really, a Role Model's Role Model. Perhaps, it isn't the parenting coach that should be helping her. It is Brit that should be teaching the parenting coach!
Like I said, today is Topsy Tervy Tuesday where the sky is green, the grass is blue and all the stupid, nonsensical Brit Twit actions are normal, healthy and perfectly acceptable and we are all wrong!

Don't They Make Your Teeth Hurt...They're So Sweet?
Herd of Sheep Chasing a Storm

I took this picture with my camera phone yesterday so, it isn't the greatest but, you get the idea of what I saw. The lighter clouds are what I call "Herd of Sheep" clouds. Then below them are darker clouds that looked like they were going to bring the hurt with a storm. So, it kind of looked like a herd of sheep were chasing a storm.
Will It Be An Every Day Thing?
I don't know! I wish I could say that it won't. But, with the Brit Twit constantly doing stuff that I deem worthy of picking on her for...it just might become an everyday feature in my blog.
So, here's the thing. When one loses their kids to their ex-spouse because they do stupid stuff that can jeopardize the lives of their kids, one should really rethink that behavior, and...I don't know...maybe stop doing it? Just a thought.
Brit, on the other hand, seems happy and even told the paparazzi "I'm so happy!" according to Perez Hilton's website. She has reportedly been out every night since she gave up physical custody, Monday, to Keven Federline. What the heck? I had to put my 2 and a half year old Siamese cat to sleep when she had kidney failure, around 3 years ago. I still get sad, and sometimes teary eyed just thinking about her and that day that I gave her to my vet and said goodbye to her forever. I realize that the Brit Twit may still get her kids back some day. And, she has visitation rights. But, she is acting like she donated some old clothes to the Salvation Army.
Brit, they are your kids. They can't be replaced like new hair extensions. Look at what you did!

This Stuff Makes Silk out of Sand Paper...
I Love, Love, Love this stuff! Last winter, I found my skin getting worse and worse. It felt like a disgusting combination of Alligator and Sand Paper. Yuck! I basically wanted to remove my skin and see if there was someone else that could lend me theirs. But, since that is really not a valid option, I tried to fix it through products. I suddenly remembered how my skin would feel after using Dove bar soap, when I was younger. I sort of didn't like it back then because it felt kind of greasy, like soap was still on my skin. However, I know that that is really the moisturizer that Dove leaves behind, so, I decided to get a bottle of Dove body wash and, the one I chose was Dove Cream Oil Body Wash in the Jasmine and Vanilla sent. The Dove Cream Oil Body Washes come in 3 different blends. The one I use is "Delicate". They also have "Creamy" and "Ultra Rich" and each one of them has a different scent and a noticeably different formula as they get thicker and creamier. Mine isn't as thick as the other two, but, it works perfectly fine for me.
The first day I tried it, I could already tell a difference in the way my skin looked and felt. By the end of the first week, I was probably about 70 - 80% repaired. By the end of week 2, my skin was like a baby's.
So, whenever any of my friends or family tell me about how dry their skin is, I recommend Dove Cream Oil and, it paid off recently. I was visiting with my Mom a couple weeks ago and told her about it after she told me how dry her skin has been. She remembered that I mentioned it to her and bought the "Creamy" blend. She called me yesterday to thank me for my suggestion because her skin is so much better now.
So, give it a shot for yourself, if you are constantly having to use lotions or, if you just want to improve on already good skin.
I love Dove Cream Oil! My skin has never been healthier!

I Guess She Doesn't
I posed the question, yesterday, whether the Brit Twit even wants her children and, I guess the answer is "No!" She was supposed to go to court yesterday to fight to get her 50/50 physical custody of her children back from the 100% physical custody that Kevin has until further notice. Her lawyer told her that it would behoove her to be there but, she didn't want to. So, she didn't show up yesterday. And, despite her lawyers argument that the new custody ruling was unfair, the judge declined to reinstate the original 50/50.
Where was the Brit Twit while her lawyer was in court duking it out on her behalf? At Starbucks and a Shell gas station with her dog working a paparazzi-tastic photo op inside her car!
So glad she has such a strong relationship with her dog. That dog is probably the only being she will ever be allowed to care for again if she continues on her merry way of selfishness.

What Makes a Good Read?
Besides the expected...suspense, what makes a good read, to me, is if while reading a book I do one of two things. If I laugh out loud or even just chuckle to myself, or if I actually shed a tear or even just tear up. So, IMO, the only way to do that is for me to actually feel connected or invested somehow in the lives of the characters of the books that I read. And, for me to feel such a strong connection, the writer really has to work some magic. Thereby making his or her book, a great read.
I just finished The Mephisto Club by Tess Gerritsen. It was really good and kept me engaged throughout the entire story. It didn't make me tear up or laugh out loud. But, it was still a suspenseful murder mystery with a nice blend of the supernatural weaved in and, I will be looking for more Tess Gerritsen books to add to my ever expanding collection of books.
Of note is a read I mentioned in an earlier post. It was Dean Koontz's The Good Guy. He managed to give me both of my requirements for a "great read" in the same book. I laughed and giggled out loud somewhere closer to the beginning of the book and teared up somewhere closer to the end. Once again, I must give Dean Koontz props for a job well done!
Now, onto my next read. It is another Dean Koontz book. This one is titled Fear Nothing. I forgot that I made this purchase at the same time that I made the purchase of Tess Gerritsens' book. I am looking forward to losing myself inside of Fear Nothing and I'll let you all know what I think of it once I am finished!
For now, grab one of my suggestions, if you haven't already, and...Happy Reading!

This Brought Tears to My Eyes...
As I was laughing my Ass off! I never liked this song. Couldn't understand why everyone else seemed to love it so much! But, with "Tom's" additions, I love this version! Just cut and paste it into your browser! Enjoy!

My Favorite Victoria's Secret
I have to give props to Victoria's Secret! There are women in the world who will wear a thong just because they need something that won't show under a pair of dress pants or any pant, short or skirt where a BPL or VPL (Bad Pantie Line or Visible Pantie Line) can be noticed. I don't prefer to wear thongs but, I will if I have to. So, Victoria's Secret came up with a wonderful remedy! They now have the Very Sexy Scalloped Hiphugger! I love these. They are absolutely invisible under your clothes. There is only one seam and, it goes where the Good Lord split you. They are comfortable and fantabulous! And, to top it all off, they are also tagless! I don't think there could be a more perfect pantie for those of us that don't really like floss up our splits.
So, to help you out, here is a picture of the pantie to help you find it in the stores:

Does She Even Want Her Kids?
I have to ask that. It sure seems like Britney doesn't want her kids when she blatantly thumbs her nose at the rules.
So, as I mentioned yesterday, Britney had her kids taken away from her for breaking every single one of the rules that the Commissioner gave her last month. But, here is a little more on that.
Brit Twit was supposed to sign a document that would allow for a custody evaluator to perform psych evaluations on her, and she was supposed to have that document in Kevin's lawyer's hands by 10 AM this past Monday. Task: Not Completed.
Next up on the Brit Breaks the Rules Tour: Both Brit Twit and her Ex-Slightly Better Half (Kevin) were supposed to submit proof that they both had valid California driver's licenses and insurance. They were told not to drive with their kids in the car until they were legally allowed to by obtaining said valid license. TMZ took video and pictures of Britney driving her kids around over the weekend and, no, she neither provided proof of a valid Cali driver's license and she didn't have one at all. Task: Not Completed.
Finally, Brit Twit was in a nightclub in Newport Beach last Thursday. Fine, whatever. A girls got to let her hair down "now and then". However, one of the little rules that the Commissioner laid out for both her and Kevin was that they were not allowed to consume alcohol 12 hours prior to taking physical custody of the boys. Other patrons of the club said they saw her sucking down alcohol past midnight and she picked the kids up from Kevin at noon, which for those who don't want to do the math, is less than 12 hours between her last alcoholic beverage was consumed. Task: Not Complete.
So, there you have it! When the Commissioner says jump, Brit...your question should be "how high". And, for that extra credit you so need, consider asking "how many times".

The Happiest Dog...
I saw the happiest dog on the highway the other day. No, the dog wasn't actually on the highway. He was in the passenger side of his Daddy's pick-up truck. It was a Yellow Labrador Retriever. Possibly a mix as most yellows have short hair. This dog had longer hair and, his or her hair had a light tinge of gold as if it was part Yellow Lab and Golden Retriever.
So, I am driving along and the pick-up passes me to my left. This extremely happy dog had not just its head out the window. It had half of its entire body (if not slightly more) out of the window and, to keeps its balance, it had its left paw on the side mirror. It was panting and smiling from ear to ear. It ducked its head back into the cab and stood next to Daddy, wagging its tail like it was its job. Then, it poked its head back out of the window, put its paw on the mirror again and continued on with its "lucky to be alive", happy as can be, day in the breeze!
That dogs sheer delight at the most simple of things put a smile on my face.
Note: While I worried for the dog being in such a potentially dangerous position, I still admired the sheer joy that he or she was experiencing from the simple feeling of wind on his or her face.
