Honourable Mentions...or Something...

My favorite blogger has mentioned my state twice! I feel honored! Thanks for the shout-out Perez!

The Lord Heard You!

You prayed for rain, and it worked!

It’s raining in Georgia!

The drought-ridden state has been blessed with some much-needed rain today.

Hopefully it lasts!

Drinking Sewage Water

Orange County is getting Twocupped! For real!

The Magic Kingdom’s residents will soon be drinking water that was mingled with their peepoo.

The O.C. is one of the first county’s in the U.S. to implement an intense new water purification program that will take the water from your toilet to your tap.

Reusable water, taking conservation to the next levels.

The intense process to purify the sewage into drinking water includes a hard scrubbing with filters, screens, chemicals and ultraviolet light and the passage of time underground.

It may even taste better than regular tap water!

Drought-plagued Georgia should look into this!

I Keep My Promises...

I mentioned my fight with Acid Reflux in a past post and, in that post I promised to give any helpful information on how to make things better for those who suffer with the same junk that I do, for free.

Well, here is the best advice I can give you on how to help keep acid reflux at bay.

Somewhere around 3 or 4 years ago, I decided that I needed to lose a little bit of weight. My age stomped all over my metabolism and it was a little bit past starting to show around my waist band. So, I chose the Low-Carb diet. Now, I didn't go as far as some. I believe in working the Low-Carb diet with moderation. Back then, I was getting acid reflux attacks for a week at a time maybe once or twice a month. I bought some literature on the Low-Carb diet, including recipe books, and learned enough to get me started. One thing that I read that had me optimistically skeptical was that people who go on the diet and who suffer from acid reflux, often find relief...either total or partial.

True to form, the weight started melting off my waist band and, I started forgetting the last time I suffered from an acid reflux attack.

3 or 4 years later, the only times that I suffer from acid reflux attacks are when I set my diet aside for a couple weeks. The holidays can be a pain but, I try to behave as much as will allow me to still enjoy.

So, here is my Low-Carb recipe for success. Don't cut the carbs entirely. They are an important part of a regular and balanced diet. But, cut back on them. Instead of pastas and breads 3 or more times a week, try treating yourself to them once or twice a week. The same goes with sweet treats like chocolate and other candies. Limit the acidic foods like red sauces, either Italian or Mexican and anything tomato based. Don't cut them out entirely. Just know that if you overload on them, you will pay the price. The same with spicy foods. And, keep in mind that your weight can be a big factor in your acid reflux. No one is saying that super models don't suffer from acid reflux, but, I do notice a nice correlation between any continuous weight gain and my rare attacks of acid reflux.

I was on prescription acid reflux medicine, which is actually dangerous. You need acid in your body. Acid reflux meds essentially wipe out all of your acid and that is not healthy. Try to control it naturally through your diet. Your body will thank you for it.

I can't say that this will be your cure for acid reflux. We are all as different as snow flakes. But, it is worth a shot. It worked for me and countless others!

The Cat + Tape Experiment Pt. 1

I am not a cruel person at all. I have a dog and 3 cats and they are well loved. But, this video has me in tears from such uproarious laughter. I just can't help myself. Please try to view it for a giggle. Don't hold it against me that I can't help but laugh my ass off at this video! I had to share it! It turns me into a 10 year old kid every time I see it!

You Must...

It happened! The slap heard around the world! The Slap Countdown is over! Last night's episode of How I Met Your Mother was all about "Slapsgiving". Marshall administered his final of 3 slaps to Barney! So funny!

I have had the link to the slapcountdown.com on my blog and, now that the slap has happened, the link takes you to Marshall's song about it! Go check it out. You can find the link under my "Favorite Sites".

Check it out, get a giggle!

Think It, Write It, Repeat...

I am a little more than a quarter of the way through a new book. It is Pandora's Daughter by Iris Johansen. I like it so far. I am intrigued! But, there is one thing that bothers me about this author. I can't remember if I have ever read anything else by her but, in this book, she tends to use the word "dammit" a lot! It seems like that word is in every other page but, I am sure it is a bit less than that. It just sort of seems like each conversation between two characters has to have that word thrown around at least once during the conversation.

I am not offended by the word. I just felt compelled to mention her over usage of it in this particular book.

What's That Word?

Once upon a time, there was a word used to describe new stuff. I struggle to remember the word when it comes to today's music. Not all of it. But, the majority of it. Shoot! What was that word? I am not even sure if it is still in the dictionary. Oh wait! It's coming to me! Right there on the tip of my tongue.

Origin...origina...original...ORIGINALITY! That's it!

When I was growing up, 2 or more artists collaborating on the same song was a treat! It was exciting and new and we ate it up! These days, everyone collaborates with everyone else and, that takes the novelty of two favorite recording artists getting together and making music together!

And, back when I was younger, it was also sort of rare for my favorite artists to remake an old song. But, there are actually artists today that seem to have more re-makes or samplings on their albums than actual...here is that word again...original music.

Gwen Stefani is one such offender as far as both remakes and collaborations. Justin Timberlake can't seem to work as a solo artist ever. I can't really remember the last song he released that didn't have a "featuring" next to his name.

When I listen to the radio, I get excited to hear Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson because their music is original, not a remake. Maroon 5 did maybe one or 2 collaborations with someone else, if I remember correctly and I can't even remember which and it wasn't something they released from their album. Perhaps someone else's album. And, I think that Kelly Clarkson has been working with Reba McIntyre but, all of the music she has released has been hers. No collaborations and no remakes.

I applaud originality. I don't really need to hear songs that I have heard nearly all my life, newly synthesized and sped up or slowed down. Leave well enough alone and give me stuff that I have never heard before!

And, stop collaborating with everyone else. It is over done, played out and boring! What is so new about Justin Timberlake doing a collaboration with Beyonce? Or Timbaland? Or Timbaland and Nellie Fertado? Or 50 cent?

Stop! Don't Collaborate but still listen! Collaborations and remakes of old songs have more mold on them now than that bread I forgot to throw away from 2 weeks ago!

Painting Pictures With Words...

On an old episode of Blind Date, one girl was so disenchanted by her date that she said she would rather be swept up by a tornado of farts than go out with that guy again! Funny right? Paints a charming little picture that just invokes the giggles. And, that line will repeat in your head from time to time and then you get the giggles again!

Well, never underestimate the best "Word Painter" that I know of! Perez Hilton asked the following question, on http://perezhilton.com/?paged=2 about his opinion of Vince Vaughn. It is genius! And, another word painting that will no doubt invoke more giggles and charming pictures in my head for months to come.

"Would you let him fart in your face while he ate his belly button lint???"

I love Perez! He just cracks me up!

About 50% Safer...

Britney Spears is no longer allowed to drive with her kids in the car! Whew! So, in my opinion, they are about 50% safer. They still get to spend 3 days a week and one overnight with her so, they are really only safe from any car related mishaps. That doesn't mean that they are safe from her letting them carry around her cigarettes. There are still numerous dangers as long as they get to see her in her home. But, at least they won't be a party to her numerous foot versus vehicle run-ins. They won't be left in a car while she goes shopping for unimportant random crap that can't seem to wait until the 3 or 4 other days a week that she isn't with them.

Congrats to you Jayden James and Sean Preston! Your lifespan just got a little bit longer!

2 Girls 1 Cup Song

I posted one of the YouTube reactions to what this song references. I did not post the actual video that has everyone reacting because, I wanted to maintain some semblance of cleanliness on my blog. But, this song cracked me up so, I had to share!
For those of you who googled 2girls1cup and braved the video, you will love this song. For those of you who haven't seen the original 2girls1cup video, you may be perplexed. Sorry about that! Just know that this guy sings to you everything you need to know about the 2girls1cup video. He basically saves you the trouble of having your brain plagued with the images imprinted into your memory after watching the 2girls1cup horror!

Why Should I Pay You?

In the age of computers and the Internet, we all know that we can find almost anything we want answers to if we just Google it. So, realizing that I seem to be an every year victim of Bronchitis, I decided to do some digging. I wanted to know what causes it and if there is any way that I can prevent it.

Then, I found a link to a site where a guy insisted that he has been able to prevent his Bronchitis, and, if he does end up catching it, he can make it go away in days instead of weeks or months. He told his story about how debilitating his Bronchitis has been over the years and said that he was told what to use to get better in days and how to prevent it. He said it is a concoction of 3 natural ingredients. He said that you make it into a steam, breath the steam in and you can feel the healing begin immediately.

Now, I am no Internet newbie. I knew from word one that there would have to be a catch. I learned that lesson years ago when I was up at 4 in the morning trying to find ways to help ease the pain of acid reflux and read through someones story and promise of help. Only, when I got to the end of that site, it offered help for the Low Low Price of my left leg...or $29.99.

So, it was no surprise to me that I could get the answers I was seeking with my Bronchitis, for my right arm...or something like $14.99. If I would buy his spiral bound book, I too could get immediate relief from my current bout with Bronchitis and keep it away next year.

So, tell me...if it only takes 3 ingredients to cure you of Bronchitis, how much more can you possibly have to say to make up a good 50 or more page book? And, why should I pay you money to tell me this secret? Wouldn't you want to give this simple information out for free? If you were truly a Bronchitis sufferer, the last thing you would want to do is profit from taking the suffering of others away.

If I found the key to taking this pain away, I would tell everyone. And, I would be elated to do it for free. Just the knowledge that I was able to make others feel better would be enough payment for me.

Bronchitis is horrible. I literally get pissed off each and every year when I know that I have gotten it...again.

So, I am making a promise right here and now! If I ever find the magic pill, concoction or potion that makes Bronchitis go away in under several weeks and can keep you from getting it each year to come, I will just give it to you all. I won't keep it a secret and make you pay me money.

If I want to pay someone to help me with my Bronchitis, I'll just keep going to my doctor each year.
