when I was a kid! There would have been no way that I would have been allowed to argue with my parents like this and I would never have gotten away with slapping my Mom. Not that they were tyrants! But, I knew my place and I had the fear of God and I respected my parents enough to know better than to act like this! She exercised surprising restraint! That kid would have been begging for his life if he were mine!
